Hahaha! First thing we differ on is that I do fully believe FB is the devil. Like you, I don't do all the games, or hugs, or 'ville' du jour. I have enough REAL work here that needs to be done. The best thing it did for me was quell some curiosity - go on a friend's profile and search those friends - check out pics, that kind of stuff. Learning that the former Hell's Angel is now born again and they preppy girl is shoveling horse shit for a living. I limited my friends and still find myself annoyed. My account will be closing soon, and I've only been on it about 2 months or so. Ok, so really the ONLY thing we differ on is that I do think it's the devil. Good call on your part.

I can support that statement in my own twisted way - I limit my interpersonal relationships. No, seriously. If I can't do it decently in person, I shouldn't have to worry about meshing all my software to comply with numerous devices to do it that way. If it weren't for needing books and music, I'd be a hermitess - pah.

Are you deleting yourself again Kent? I see I've lost you on Facebook once more. I felt the same way earlier today, unfollowed a few more robotic self-centered people who never communicate or relate like humans, and seriously wondered about the point of it all. But y'know I've learned that these things are like the weather. A stormy week of everyone ignoring each other like robots never feels like it'll end, and soon the sun is out and a few people are relating to each other again, and it was worth the patience. With the way people lock themselves up in their own petty problems today, to be social without software to help it happen might well drive a person to knocking on doors with a crazed staring expression, asking desperately for a cup of humanity. Disappointment follows whenever humans are involved. At least online, it's easy to share yourself openly while you wait for things to change, and somehow the disappointment is lessened by the buffer of distance. There, there's at least always the potential of reaching someone worthwhile in a meaningful way. After a while, the potential is what comes to mean so much; after the ferocious reality of immediate "real life" disappointment becomes just too much to bare.

Instant fan of your style in this post. I clicked here from MG+ b/c I I got a big laugh from your 'day of the week' vs 'fave mg song on Vancouver' comment (I do the same). But now, NOW you have to entertain me more... more posts! Ok, yeah, I know all I have to do is check archives in a few clicks. Which I think I will, later - gotta go make the money now. I really did enjoy this post.

What I found hilarious while watching Curling during the Olympics was the fans. There were some Americans in the stands during one match with their shirts off and USA in huge letters across their fat stomachs. Hilarious. A little embarrassing for us Americans, but funny nonetheless.

Hey man. You're entitled. 'Interesting' is one word. I can think of others. Otherworldy perspectives are only entertaining for so long, then it just becomes frustrating. How many women do you work with now?

Baby...half way down this blog I got lost....there were just too many words and too many phrases on a topic I have no clue about. Apparently life is passing me by, i've got angst, I need to bitch...maybe I should blog. Maybe our 21 month old son, who's trowing a fit rolling on the floor screaming his head off because I won't let him play with the keyboard needs to blog. When you come home you set that up for us will ya? Thanks babe.
