Last day of vacation ride. Been a good stint. Got out early and caught a family of deer having a splash. I see deer quite often on rides, but this was the first time I’d ever seen them in the water.
Been a long time since an actual ‘bike commute’ and may be even longer still. Took a morning spin to my old pre-work coffee spot and home again today.
Busted out for a quick coffee along the river.
Got out for a ride in the backyard. It not all glamour and scenic vistas. Picked up a bunch of trash as well. People are dumb.
Waiting out the rain. For real, not a metaphor. Though sometimes in the metaphoric sense too. And that’s ok. “It can’t rain all the time.”
JRA when it occurs to me that one day I’ll grow to frail to lift and/or ride this bike. I mean, and that’s the aspired for IDEAL, right? Memento mori, kids. In all things. Make this your best day.
Headed out for a ride in ‘the backyard’ to clear the head.
Decided to take the Ute out on an errand run to see how it performed. Things went great until the left pedal fell off. Had to call in the Team Car for a pickup. To be honest, was a known-issue when I got it, but I thought I could squeak it out. Fun had anyway.
Just a total stress-relief ride that I had to get out on, even though I should have been doing something else.
Got out for a mixed surface ride with my buddy Andrew who was riding a bike almost as old as me. It’s a ’74 Peugeot.
